Nestled into the trees of Timberlake farm village, lies Acrobranch, Garden Route. This picturesque location almost beckons visitors to climb into the trees and experience the world from a different height and angle. Acrobranch is a truly unique experience for all ages and with many courses to choose from, we can guarantee that there is something out there for every level of experience, as well as bravery!

Obstacle courses for everyone at Acrobranch, Garden Route

Acrobranch is not just for kids and the more athletic, it is an experience for everyone. People of all ages have enjoyed the courses, mixing a love for the outdoors and nature, with a passion for adventure and excitement!

The little ones between the ages of 4 and 8 can get in on the action with the Acro-Twigs course (R100). The course has been designed to delight the littlies with 17 obstacles set to test their balance and agility. Parents can either follow them along the course or the expert guides can lead them while ensuring their safety throughout.

The Swinging Tarzan, with a whopping 29 obstacles, is for the more intermediate of climbers. While the course may seem simple to start off with, we can assure you that there is more to this course than meets the eye. Challenge your friends and family to this exciting course where you will have to climb, balance and swing your way through a set of obstacles. The sense of achievement at the end will be well worth it! The course is for ages 10 and up and is R200 per person.

If you want a true challenge that will test your bravery and balance, we suggest the High Flying course. With 48 obstacles to navigate your way through, and a great many heart-stopping moments, this has proven to be one of our most popular courses. Take on this challenge while climbing, ziplining and balancing your way through the trees.

Overall, the Garden Route Acrobranch boasts a total of 74 aerial platforms, all connected by ziplines, beams and nets. If you are looking for thrills, we suggest trying out the 220m zipline which can be part of a course or a standalone adventure.

With hundreds of visitors making their way along the courses every year, we take the safety of our keen adventurers very seriously. Each group is briefed on the course and the safety measures before they can embark on their adventure. We encourage you to take time to smell the roses as they say, and take the course at your own pace. Each person is kitted out with imported EU rated and registered gear that will keep you safe and well-equipped for the duration of the adventure.

Spend the day at Timberlake Farm Village

There’s no need to rush off after your treetop adventure. Timberlake Farm Village hosts an abundance of restaurants, stores and other activities to enjoy. Timberlake village has 4 restaurants to choose from – Windmill Restaurant, Zucchini restaurant, Country Deli and Oyster Shack. While the suns out, we suggest visiting Windmill Restaurant where you can organise a delicious picnic for your group! With an assortment of cured meat, cheese and fresh breads, you will be spoilt for choice when selecting your unique picnic basket.

You can’t possibly visit the Garden Route without indulging in some fresh seafood. At Oyster Shack, you will be treated to the best of what the coast has to offer with fresh seafood kebabs, mouth-watering prawns and of course, oysters.

For a relaxed atmosphere and a hearty meal, we suggest taking a seat on a saddle at Zucchini Restaurant. Serving up delicious South African cuisine, visitors are always delighted by what this laid back venue has to offer.

Other activities at Timberlake

Parents can take a much needed break while the kids have a blast on the beautiful village farm. The kids can enjoy the sunshine while they play on the climbing frames with a giant slide, take on the race track, and even pet a goat!

Whether you are in Cape Town or Johannesburg, parents will be happy to know we have a branch conveniently located close by. In fact, we have 5 locations throughout the country, each with their own unique features (Cape Town, Garden Route, Pretoria North, Johannesburg and Centurion). Get some fresh air

We understand how easy it can be to sit in front of TV during the holidays, but how about getting outdoors for something different? Set as adventure parks with a variety of obstacles to navigate through the trees, kids can safely test their strength, agility and bravery at Acrobranch. From a gentle start at only a few metres, the obstacle courses rise into the trees, giving the kids a bird’s eye view over the park.

While this may be the kid’s school holiday, there is no reason why the parents and other adults can’t get into the fun of Acrobranch too. Kids from the age of 3 and up can enjoy the Acro-Twigs course. This is ideal for the younger kids who want to get in on the fun while still playing it safe with a few obstacles to test their navigation skills. Parents and guides can lead the little ones along the course safely.

Our Acrobranch locations are picturesque and unique, providing a beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. So why rush off after your course, when you can stick around for something to eat and even more activities to keep the kids going all day long.

Visit our Pretoria North branch and spend the day on the farm side village. Once you have navigated the many courses available at Acrobranch, you can make your way to Musiek Restaurant where you can indulge in delicious baked goods, light and delicious meals, and a quality cup of coffee. Kids can run off and play on the jungle gym or they can try one of the other activities available. The gentle pony rides are perfect for any age while the peddle cars and Daisy shooting range are unique and fun for the more adventurous. Parents can choose to picnic on the premises among the trees, ideal for birthday parties or just a day spent in the sunshine.

The Sunlawns Estate Farm near Centurion, is home to Acrobranch, Centurion. The kids will love their treetop adventure and can even try out the unique Acrobungy! This activity will see you being propelled into the sky up to 14 metres from the ground. Situated right next door to Acrobranch is the RedBarn. This popular spot offers restaurants and even more activities to keep the entire family entertained this holiday. Try out Olifants Restaurant for a tasty snack and a refreshing drink. Kids can bring out their creative side at the Clay Café while parents can settle down with a good cup of coffee and a snack.
